Smith of Scotland Neck : planters on the Roanoke / by Claiborne Thweatt Smith, Jr.
Richard Smith was born about 1639 in Surry County, Virginia, and was the supposed son of immigrant Thomas Smith who died in Surry in 1669. Richard married twice and died in 1713.
