The sock thief [electronic resource] : A soccer story. Ana Crespo.
2016 International Latino Book Award: Best Latino Focused Children's Picture Book—Bilingual A Brazilian boy in need of a soccer ball comes up with a creative solution. Felipe wants to play soccer with his friends, but it's his turn to bring the ball, and he doesn't have one. So, on the way to school, he makes his own out of socks that he swipes from his neighbors. But Felipe is a considerate sock thief—he leaves delicious mangoes in exchange for each one, and at the end of the day, he returns them all (with thank you notes!).
