Summary:

The year is 1945 and Dresden, Germany, is being firebombed during World War II! Twelve-year-old Greta is worried that her cousin, Hannah, will soon be deported. Hannah is Jewish, and the only thing that has helped her family remain in Dresden during the war is her Christian father. But when Allied bombers suddenly descend on the city, Greta realizes that she, her mother, and her cousin’s family are all in grave danger. Will Greta find a way to help everyone escape before the firebombing completely destroys Dresden?
