Summary:

After their mother's death, sisters Nora (Renate Reinsve) and Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) prepare to reunite with their estranged father Gustav Borg (Stellan Skarsgård), a once-celebrated film director who has returned to Oslo after years away. In the case of Nora, an actor, he hopes to reconnect by casting her in his comeback film. But when she refuses, he turns to a rising Hollywood star (Elle Fanning), a choice that pulls the family into a tangle of old grievances.
