Summary: A drama of seedy music hall life. Archie Rice, a third rate vaudevillian whose song and dance routines are unappealing and boring, is nagged by his shrewish alcoholic wife about his failures. His world comes tumbling down onto the garbage heap he has built up through his lifetime.
