- The alphabetical listing of deaths in volume 1 was taken from five volumes of ledgers maintained by the Yopp Funeral Home. Yopp Funeral Home filed the record of each deceased in a shuck. The shucks are in chronological order. Volume 2 is an alphabetical index of the shucks, which are housed in the North Carolina Room of the New Hanover County Public Library in Wilmington, N.C.Volume 2's register records were prepared by J. Kenneth Davis.
