Summary:

Brendan Fraser stars in this comedy drama co-written and directed by Hikari. Phillip Vanderploeg (Fraser) is an American actor living in Japan who is struggling to make a living. Desperate, he accepts a job at Rental Family, a company which provides actors to strangers who need them to play the roles of family members or friends. Although Phillip is initially uncertain, he comes to find the experience rewarding until it causes his life to become increasingly complicated. The cast also includes Takehiro Hira, Mari Yamamoto and Akira Emoto.
